Each cartridge in this case fires a heavy 180 grain full metal jacket bullet at a muzzle velocity of 990 feet per second, producing typical .40 Smith & Wesson ballistics, good accuracy, and substantial recoil.

Magtech ammunition is loaded in Brazil by defense contractor CBC, which also produces its own ammo components. This ammo uses non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases.
