Revolver owners will find much to like in this .38 Special defensive load from Hornady's Critical Defense series. These cartridges use the Flex Tip (FTX) jacketed hollow point bullet, which has a soft polymer tip that keeps debris out of the expansion cavity for more reliable terminal performance.

Each cartridge in this 25-round box fires a light 110 grain version of the Flex Tip JHP at a high muzzle velocity of 1,010 feet per second. This high velocity promotes higher diameter mushrooming, while the light bullet weight keeps recoil to a reasonable level to make follow-up shots easier.

This ammo is made at Hornady's headquarters in Grand Island, Nebraska using non-corrosive Boxer primers and new production brass cases.
