Hornady Critical Defense ammunition is designed for effective self-defense use by concealed carriers and law enforcement officers. This 9mm Luger version is a standard pressure load ideal for popular defensive handguns such as the SIG P938, Glock 19/43, and S&W Shield.

Each cartridge in this case of 250 fires a light 115 grain Flex Tip jacketed hollow point bullet at 1,135 feet per second. The Flex Tip bullet features a soft polymer insert designed to block clothing fragments and other debris from impeding the expansion process.

Hornady ammo is loaded in Grand Island, Nebraska using non-corrosive primers and reloadable brass cases. Critical Defense loads use premium brass cases for reliable performance and reliability.
