When used in weapons appropriately rated for +P pressure, these cartridges make for a formidable carry or home defense load. Golden Saber bullets consist of a spiral cut hollow point projectile wrapped in a hard brass jacket that provides enhanced penetration through intermediate barriers with little deflection.

Each cartridge in this bulk priced case of 500 propels a light, 185-grain version of the Golden Saber JHP to a muzzle velocity of 1,140 feet per second. This is considerably faster than average for the .45 Auto and promotes rapid expansion for immediate terminal effect on assailants; the use of a lightweight bullet also helps tame the recoil normally associated with +P ammo.
