This shell is loaded with 1-1/8 ounces of #7.5 shot. That’s the heaviest shot column you’re liable to find in a dedicated target load, but Fiocchi ensures you’ll experience less felt recoil in two key ways. First, their cushioned wad helps to absorb some kinetic energy throughout ignition. Second, this round’s clean-burning powder is measured to produce a relatively tepid 1,165 fps muzzle velocity.

Fiocchi’s same cushioned wad is also engineered to promote greater pattern density. And because this shell’s shot pellets are made of first-run chilled lead – which is too rigid to deform when subjected to intense pressure – they stay round enough to produce a thick and effective pattern!
