This shotshell is loaded with 7/8 ounces of #7.5 lead shot, which makes it permissible for the trap and sporting clays ranges – perfect if you intend on practicing before you set out in search of birds and buns. Winchester does precisely what works best in order to deliver a dense and deadly pattern: They cast hard, uniform and spherical shot pellets, and they cradle those pellets in a high-quality plastic wad that clusters them tightly out of the muzzle.

This shell’s shot column is not unusually heavy, and its 1,210 fps muzzle velocity is not unusually fast. Throw in Winchester’s hinged wad, which collapses during ignition, and you’ve got the makings of a real low-recoil solution to upland hunting. Winchester’s 209 primer and powder deliver consistent results and their hulls are textbook reloadable.
