This is a titanic shotshell. It is as long as a 12 Gauge round comes at 3-1/2”, which is why you must (A) only purchase Winchester Double X for a shotgun capable of chambering it, (B) expect a very generous recoil impulse when you let the pin fall, and (C) expect one positively lethal blast on ignition. This round doesn’t just unleash at an antler-cracking 1,450 fps muzzle velocity. It also launches 15 pieces of 00 buckshot!

And it’s not just any double-aught. The lead orbs are plated in copper, and surrounded by granulated buffering material. Alongside the shell’s thick wad, those elements help keep the shot as spherical as possible as it attains its wildly high muzzle velocity. Such aerodynamic shot patterns extra tight and reaches its target with greater force. And because they are fortified against deformation, the pellets excel at plunging very deeply into the quarry.
