This gong target is made of AR500, an abrasion resistant steel alloy that withstands high-impact stress even at low temperatures. AR500 is often used to manufacture concrete and mining equipment, so it’s perfectly able to withstand the kind of abuse it will receive at your range. At 3/8” thick, this gong is going to last you indefinitely – unless you want two of them, we’d bet it’s the last one you’ll need to buy!

This gong features a 3” orange target spot, but you can certainly paint over it however you please. With its single hole, this gong is suited to be hanged from either a bolt or a hook. Birchwood Casey recommends their durable steel disc for all handgun and rifle cartridges.
