Black Hills produces their Mk 262 spec ammo for military sniper teams, and designs it to remain effective at ranges out to 765 yards. Their Mk 262 MOD 1-C is loaded with the same components and to the same standards. It just isn’t subjected to identical testing protocol, hence the “MOD 1-C.”

This round isn’t just pinpoint accurate because it is loaded with an exceptionally heavy 77 grain projectile. Its bullet is the MatchKing by Sierra – a unique version, which has a cannelure to prevent it from creeping out of the case mouth under recoil. The open tip match bullet features an exquisitely concentric jacket and form-fitted, injection-molded solid lead core – both reasons why it achieves such outstanding rotational stability. And because the MatchKing’s frontal profile and boat tail are both so streamlined, it excels at conserving its velocity hundreds and hundreds of yards downrange.

This ammo’s brass cases aren’t reloaded. They just weren’t polished after the annealing process, which is standard for military-grade brass. Each brand new seam-welded steel ammo can contains 23 individual 20-round boxes.
