This 9mm cartridge features the 100 grain Reduced Hazard Training (RHT) projectile. Instead of solid copper and lead it is made of sintered metal powders. When the RHT hits steel or stone it shatters into little fragments, which basically eliminates the chance of injury resulting from a deflection.

The RHT is also 100 percent lead-free. That alongside this ammo’s Catalyst primers, which are also lead-free on top of being super responsive, eliminates the shooter’s exposure to toxic vapors. Federal headstamps this ammo “NT” for nontoxic and copper-plates its primers, and the RHT itself has a distinctive nose profile, so you can avoid accidentally mistaking this ammo for regular FMJ.
