Here’s the quick rundown. This round’s full metal jacket is the simplest kind of bullet you’re going to find on a 22 WMR load. It’s not just great for shooting targets because it’s economical. The FMJ’s solid point profile also isn’t going to knock down a living target with terminal expansion. The nonmagnetic bullet’s 40 grain weight, 1,880 fps muzzle velocity and 0.111 G1 ballistic coefficient all mean that it’s going to stay supersonic until 150 yards, at which point the bullet’s going to develop a nasty wobble that makes its trajectory unpredictable. It’s a pretty flat shooter, too. Even if you are going all the way out to 150 yards, the FMJ’s trajectory probably isn’t going to go higher than 5” above the muzzle line.
