This cartridge’s bullet isn’t just a heavy, high-momentum 168 grainer. It is also a hollow point boat tail, which isn’t equipped for relatively deep penetration, and isn’t capable of letting out terminal expansion, and therefore isn’t the best for nabbing medium game. The HPBT’s small opening in its nose is a byproduct of its perfectly uniform lead core, which was injected inside the jacket while it was liquid. Its balanced core perfectly complements the HPBT’s rotationally stable jacket, which is drawn to the highest concentricity standard in the industry.
