This 40 S&W cartridge by Federal delivers the same trajectory, velocity, and point of impact as an analogous round from the Minnesotan manufacturer’s HST lines of ammunition. If you prefer HST for self-defense, then this round will make your training session effective yet economical!

This round’s 180 grain bullet has a Total Synthetic Jacket. Because the TSJ is made of polymer rather than traditional copper, it eliminates metal-on-metal contact to lessen fouling as well as friction within the barrel. The TSJ also reduces the likelihood of splash-back from putting you in harm’s way while you’re training with steel targets or before a rocky backdrop.

This round is an ideal choice for indoor training. Its TSJ shields the lead in its bullet’s core so as to prevent it from evaporating during ignition, and its sensitive Catalyst primer disperses no lead when it is ignited either.
