Hornady Critical Duty loads were engineered to excel on difficult FBI protocol tests. WIth exceptional ballistic coefficients and unmatched terminal performance, Critical Duty rounds are ideally suited for law enforcement and personal protection applications.

Each of these 20 rounds of Hornady Critical Duty 40 S&W ammunition is loaded with a 175 grain FlexLock jacketed hollow point (JHP) projectile. Hornady's patented FlexLock projectile incorporates a special polymer FlexTip, designed to initiate expansion while preventing clogging of the hollow point as it moves through tough urban barriers. These rounds also feature a special Interlock band which prevents separation of the lead core and copper jacket. The result is 100 percent weight retention for superior penetration and massive, threat-stopping power.

This is new production ammunition that is boxer primed and loaded in highly visible nickel-plated copper casings. Each round delivers a muzzle velocity of 1010 feet per second and a muzzle energy of 396 foot pounds.
