Are you trying to get the best possible performance out of your 300 AAC Blackout firearm’s suppressor? Do you want subsonic ammo that you can use for home defense and hunting? Then Hornady’s Subsonic label 300 BLK ammo is going to meet every one of your expectations to a T!

This cartridge’s heavy 190 grain projectile only builds up enough momentum to clear a 16” barrel’s muzzle at a velocity of 1,050 fps. That’s approximately 75 fps lower than the speed of sound, so your suppressor will have an easier time dampening reports. You’ll still get quieter performance if you don’t have a suppressor, though!

A slower-moving bullet obviously has less striking energy. By Hornady’s measure, this round’s bullet will hit a close-range target with less than 465 ft lbs of energy. But that’s what makes the Sub-X bullet so special. Its notched jacket, Flex Tip polymer insert and flat nose profile all come together to ensure expanding terminal ballistics following relatively low impact collision with the target.

Hornady included another high-value touch when they designed this ammo: low-flash powder. It emits very little light, even when ignited in an SBR, which will help to prevent you from winding up in the precarious position of being unable to see after firing a shot in the nighttime.
