Why is this 5.56x45 cartridge magnetic when its 62 grain bullet’s jacket is made of pure copper alloy? It’s because of the core. As an M855 round, the bullet features a seven grain steel tip in its otherwise lead core. This makes the bullet a whole lot more resilient in the face of barriers, so it can penetrate clean through them.

Just take care that magnetic bullets are forbidden at many indoor ranges, and that the heavier bullet displays the best accuracy in conjunction with a 1:9 or 1:8 twist barrel.

Igman is based out of the small European nation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They have been around for many years, and have more recently begun exporting their ammo around the world. In contrast to many Russian manufacturers up north, Igman exclusively loads brass cases and non-corrosive Boxer primers. You can reload this ammo once all its penetrator bullets are gone.
