If you have ever worked in an office, then you already know that a “PowerPoint” is a type of excruciatingly boring slide show. This 30-06 hunting load’s Power-Point is a whole lot better, because instead of illustrating financial data it will help you kill deer!

Winchester gave this cartridge the 165 grain .30 cal pointed soft point version of their proprietary Power-Point. The bullet provides terminal expansion in the conventional fashion, as its tip’s bare lead core flattens out to create the wide wound channel which quickly flattens down deer. It just expands extra reliably thanks to its tapered jacket, which grows progressively thinner the closer it gets to its tip, as well as the notching which strategically weakens the jacket. The Power-Point’s lead core is alloyed, and therefore tough enough to retain weight, conserve momentum and penetrate deeply enough to reach a deer’s critical organs.
