Winchester’s USA VALOR label 5.56x45 ammunition celebrates the American Legend’s proud military tradition. It also honors families of America’s fallen soldiers, as Winchester donates part of their proceeds from selling this ammo to Folds of Honor.

This particular 5.56x45 ammo does one other important thing: It attracts a magnet. That’s because the M855 FMJ conceals a steel penetrator tip beneath its jacket – a feature which fortifies the projectile so that it can tear clean through sheet metal. But you wouldn’t be wasting this ammo if you only used it to shoot empty cans with your trusty AR-15!

The 62 grain M855 bullet is best stabilized by a 1:8 or 1:9 barrel twist, although its accuracy doesn’t suffer too much for having passed through a 1:7 twist barrel. This ammo’s penetrator bullets are seated in military-quality brass cases – still discolored after being heat-treated for greater durability, but brand new nevertheless. This American-made ammo is Boxer-primed, non-corrosive, and just the ticket for handloaders in need of good components!
