Federal’s Syntech line of ammunition is perfect for shooting steel targets. This 9mm cartridge’s 124 grain projectile is sealed in a Total Synthetic Jacket, so it contains no copper that could dangerously splash back at you after impact. The value of a TSJ isn’t limited to steel targets, either – the polymer jacket leaves behind very little fouling in a pistol’s bore, and it is far gentler on riflings than copper or lead would have been.

This is also an ideal round if you’re going to shoot indoors where ventilation might not be ideal. Its hot igniting Catalyst primer doesn’t have any lead in it, and the lead in its bullet’s core is prevented from coming into contact with hot propellant gasses by the all-encompassing TSJ. Breathing in as little lead as you’re able to is highly advisable! While firing this round you’ll also notice right away that it produces little felt recoil. If you’d like to empty out your magazine quickly, this cartridge is going to do wonders for your aim.
