This ain’t like the 7.62x39 ammo you’d get from our Russian brothers. It’s completely devoid of steel, and that begins with its 123 grain FMJ projectile. A resilient lead-antimony core and copper-zinc jacket make this bullet unable to attract a magnet, as well as durable enough to clear the muzzle without losing its sharp, streamlined profile. The M67 spec round’s bullet cannot expand while it penetrates soft tissue, but at close range it’s going to pack so mighty a wallop that it hardly matters.

This ammo’s shell casings can’t do anything to a magnet, either, because they’re 100% pure brass.
