It’s located in Independence, MO, it’s managed by Winchester, and it’s accountable for producing the majority of the U.S. Armed Forces’ small arms ammunition. But you don’t have to join the Army to get your hands on Lake City’s 223 Rem ball ammo. You just need to hit up your pals at Target Barn!

This cartridge’s full metal jacket is designed to feed without hesitation and fly straight toward its target. It will fragment upon striking soft tissue at mid-to-high velocity, although its terminal ballistics could not be described as “expanding.” The 55 grain FMJ is also designed to not attract a magnet. Its lead core and copper alloy jacket are both nonferrous.

Lake City’s military grade cases are brand new and reloadable, albeit unpolished. No worries – the cases’ discoloration has no bearing on their performance. This noncorrosive Boxer-primed ammunition comes in bulk packaging: just one box to open before you’re looking at all 1,000 rounds.
