This cartridge’s MatchKing is an open tip match. Its wafer-thin yet evenly thick jacket was created first, and then subsequently injected with the molten lead that became its core. As a result, the OTM exhibits far greater rotational stability than any full metal jacket can manage. The OTM is highly streamlined, too. Once it has leapt out of a 20” barrel at a rate of 2,790 feet per second, its 0.372 G1 ballistic coefficient lets it home in on a 300-yard zero in 0.37 seconds, and then drop to -13.53” at 400.

The OTM may be accurate, but it is not a good pick for taking medium game. Its nose cavity will not commence terminal expansion upon meeting resistance from soft tissue.
