The 30 Carbine cartridge is a huge piece of American history, and it’s the only way you can get full enjoyment out of your M1 carbine (even if it is a sweet reproduction and not the real McCoy). But when it’s loaded with the right bullet, it’s also a swell way to knock medium game out of commission!

This cartridge is loaded with a 110 grain projectile. Its 1,990 fps muzzle velocity was recorded with a 18” barrel. It would meet M1 ball specifications if not for the type of bullet it is loaded with: the Core-Lokt soft point. It is designed to undergo rapid terminal expansion that can double its original diameter, making the Core-Lokt an effective choice for hunting and self-defense. The Core-Lokt’s signature feature is its copper jacket, which is physically embedded within its solid lead core. That helps the nonmagnetic projectile remain intact enough to penetrate deeply as it mushrooms outward.

This ammo is loaded in Arkansas with new brass cases and noncorrosive Boxer primers. Stock up on military surplus whenever you’re able, but trust the Remington Core-Lokt whenever the stakes are higher than target practice!
