This cartridge is loaded with Remington’s universally respected Core-Lokt soft point bullet. The bullet’s tough copper shank is embedded within its alloyed lead core. The protrusion is not extremely deep, but it does toughen up the bullet so it can more reliably access a larger animal’s heavily protected vital organs. The Core-Lokt also delivers double-diameter terminal expansion, which means your quarry is in double trouble.

This cartridge’s projectile is the 45-70’s original 405 grain weight. Once it’s accelerated to a velocity of 1,600 fps, its 0.281 G1 ballistic coefficient will keep it supersonic until approximately 270 yards. The bullet holds on to no less than 1,000 ft lbs of energy until it flies to 330 yards. Brass-cased, reloadable, noncorrosive, American-made, lever-action safe, and all of that other good stuff!
