This cartridge is loaded with a 131 grain soft point bullet, which clears a 21.75” barrel at a velocity of 2,740 fps. Its sleek profile and rotationally stable core and jacket grant the bullet a 0.389 G1 ballistic coefficient, which means it shouldn’t become subsonic until approximately 926 yards. The SP produces reliable terminal expansion throughout the 6.5 CM’s effective range, and its rugged copper-alloy jacket assures the bullet will retain the weight and resultant momentum the bullet needs to pierce clean through to a quarry’s vitals.
