This cartridge’s 55 grain full metal jacket projectile may feature an economical design, but it still serves up the reliable feeding and consistent accuracy you want during any kind of target shooting. The FMJ’s hard copper-alloy jacket puts a stop to deformation during feeding and ignition, and it also wears a mid-body cannelure that prevents functionality issues resulting from setback in the magazine. Unlike some foreign manufacturers, Winchester does not include any steel in their 55gr FMJ bullets. If your range doesn’t allow you to fire magnetic projectiles on their premises, then this ammo won’t give you any problems.

These rounds’ brass cases are brand new and never before fired. They only became gray around their necks because they were annealed at the factory for added suppleness and resultant durability. Winchester just didn’t take the added step of making the cases shinier by polishing them up before loading them with clean-burning propellant, noncorrosive Boxer primers and uniform FMJs.
