There are times when you want a round with all the bells and whistles: a bullet made of pure rhodium, propellant formulated out of moon rocks, and a casing molded out of brass recovered from the railings on the Titanic. There are times when you want a round that’s going to save you a little money, too. This is that round.

At a glance you’d probably guess that this 7.62x39 cartridge by Wolf is made in Russia, because it has got a steel casing. It’s a budget-friendly casing at the expense of being non-reloadable, but its PolyFormance coating does much to improve how dependably it cycles, and having been annealed it’s supple enough to prevent wear and tear on your AK-47’s action. This round has got clean burning propellant and a non-corrosive Berdan primer as well, which along with its 124 grain FMJ projectile will leave your rifle in great shape after your shoot.
