This defensive ammo from Hornady combines the venerable .45 ACP caliber with the high penetration of the XTP jacketed hollow point bullet. A +P loading adds improved velocity and higher-diameter expansion to the mix, resulting in a formidable carry load for 1911s and other +P rated handguns.

Each round in this box of 20 fires a medium weight 200 grain version of the XTP at a muzzle velocity of 1,055 feet per second. This ammo does produce a bit more recoil than standard pressure .45 Auto, so pick up a few boxes and get some training done!

Hornady ammo is made in the USA using reloadable brass and non-corrosive primers.
