The days of cheap government surplus 30-06 M2 ball ammunition are long gone. Most of the 30-06 ammo the government does buy is blank – hardly very fun to fire at the range, we think you’ll agree. Fortunately the Czechs know what M1 Garand owners want, which is why Sellier & Bellot mints this fine 30-06 and ships it to Target Barn!

This cartridge is loaded with a 150 grain full metal jacket projectile. It has a brass jacket and a lead core – both metals that can’t attract a magnet. More importantly, the bullet’s 2,700 fps muzzle velocity reflects that its chamber pressure isn’t powerful enough to warp an M1’s sensitive operating rod. You can pump box after box of these cartridges through an antique without damaging it. To that end, you can also run this ammo through a modern 30-06 rifle when you want to enjoy lower-recoil performance at the range!

Sellier & Bellot is a foreign manufacturer, but that doesn’t mean they use steel cases and Berdan primers. They use brass cases and Boxer primers, which is why you can reload this new production and noncorrosive ammo once you’ve returned to your secret lair (i.e. basement).
