Winchester’s white box ammo is a mainstay among countless American firearm enthusiasts – something they can depend and rely on for target practice and personal protection.

This cartridge is tipped with a 147 grain projectile. The 9mm’s heaviest common bullet has too much inertia to achieve a supersonic velocity when it is backed by standard chamber pressure. As such this round’s bullet is due to clear a 4” barrel’s muzzle at a rate of 990 fps – ideal if you don’t want a cracking report on ignition, and even more so if you’re using a suppressor.

This round’s bullet is a jacketed hollow point: a lead core with a nose cavity, and a copper-alloy jacket with a symmetrically notched rim. Should the nonmagnetic bullet plunge into a soft medium, its core and jacket will work hand in hand to deliver terminal expansion.

Once their noncorrosive Boxer primers are all dimpled, save these rounds’ high-quality brass cases. They are worthy of a handloader’s time and efforts!
