This 38 Special cartridge by Federal sports a 158 grain lead semiwadcutter projectile. The bullet’s flat front surface makes it ideal for shooting a paper target, as it will punch a tidy and easily visible hole through one for immediate feedback on your performance as well as unambiguous scoring. The bullet’s sloped sides and sharp shoulder make it feed far more reliably in semi-automatic weapons than a blockier full wadcutter is able to accomplish. This bullet is economical thanks to its lead composition, which also causes it to deform and tumble while penetrating a soft target -- the large hole it creates upon impact would be no less disastrous for any soft target that this projectile might find its way hurtling toward, too.
