This round’s jacketed soft point features a partial copper-alloy jacket that reduces barrel fouling and promotes deeper penetration of soft tissue. Its tip is unjacketed, which enables the soft lead core to mushroom as it meets resistance from soft tissue. Even if the bullet has too little momentum to expand, its broad nose profile is going to do greater damage to soft tissue than a round nose FMJ bullet. That flat nose profile is also why this ammo will work just as well in lever-action rifles as it will in revolvers like the Governor or Judge!
