No one has ever had a bad time firing a 270 Win rifle – which, at least to our knowledge, has never been implemented in warfare. Of course, American deer don’t have anything good to say about it. If you’d like to give them even more reasons to dislike the O’Connor special, Federal’s Power-Shok series ammunition will do it!

At 130 grains, this cartridge’s bullet is the middleweight for the 270. As such it receives a peppy 3,060 fps muzzle velocity before proceeding to deliver quite the flat trajectory. The 0.372 G1 ballistic coefficient projectile ought to drop just -6.7” at 300 yards upon clearing a 200-yard zero. You can reasonably expect the bullet to slap its target with over 1,000 ft lbs of energy at any range within 520 yards! And because the bullet is a traditional soft point, it undergoes decisive penetration and terminal expansion without the need for a high-tech (i.e. expensive) design.

This ammunition was born in the great state of Minnesota. Federal’s factory is over 100 years old, but they implement state-of-the-art machinery and meticulous QC protocol to ensure each round in this case of 200 is outfitted with a premium reloadable brass case and noncorrosive Boxer primer.
