If you walk up to a normie and say “PMC 50 BMG 660gr FMJBT,” they will think you’re speaking in tongues. But when you utter that cryptic phrase to a long-range shooting enthusiast, they’ll like what they hear.

This cartridge’s 660 grain full metal jacket boat tail is set to tear out of a rifle’s 36” barrel at a velocity of 3,080 fps (expect a lower muzzle velocity from an M82A1’s stock 20” or 29” barrel). The simple FMJBT doesn’t boast the +1 G1 ballistic coefficient like some match loads, but its 0.701 G1 BC still translates to supersonic performance until about 1,940 yards. Not too shabby, if we may say so ourselves. The FMJBT will attract a magnet.
