This round’s 150 grain bullet is a pointed soft point. Its ballistically efficient profile excels at overcoming frontal air resistance, so much so that the 0.294 G1 BC bullet’s trajectory doesn’t become subsonic until approximately 865 yards downrange. The Core-Lokt’s jacket is actually embedded within its alloyed lead core, which prevents component separation to ensure effectively deadly penetration depth. The Core-Lokt’s design may be relatively straightforward, but it still topples its target by expanding up to double its original diameter.
