This is the quintessential 7.62x51 ammunition for range training and target practice. Winchester’s classic white box contains the consistent quality you need to be impressed by your rifle – not curse at jams and FTFs!

M80 is our Army’s basic 7.62 NATO ammo. You’ll find it at military rifle ranges as well as out in the field. You could certainly use this ball ammo for home defense if you so wish, as 149 grains of lead and copper racing at faster than twice the speed of sound is going to make a big impact however you slice it. The FMJ’s inability to expand doesn’t suit it well for hunting, but for the range where all you want is smooth feeding and consistent accuracy, American-made FMJ ammo is just the right stuff.

This ammo’s brass cases were induction heated at the factory. The annealing process makes brass tougher and more supple, but also a little discolored around the case mouth. It’s solely cosmetic. Winchester’s magnetic bullet is propelled by a charge of clean-burning propellant, which itself is ignited by a non-corrosive primer.
