Fiocchi’s Defense Dynamics line of ammunition offers a direct approach to personal protection with a 357 Magnum firearm. This round is loaded with a jacketed hollow point – the most popular choice of bullet for defense applications. The 357 Mag’s outstanding power gives the 148 grain JHP a muzzle velocity of 1,310 fps, which allows it to arrive at a close-range target with over 500 ft lbs of energy. The JHP’s resilient gilding metal jacket helps it avert fragmentation and conserve more momentum – the key to an effectively long wound channel. The jacket extends all the way to the rim of the nose cavity, but also wears an array of symmetrical notches that help it cleave apart and peel backward in a uniform fashion.

This round’s bullet is nonmagnetic for compliant target practice at all public ranges, and also shaped right to promote reliable functionality in revolvers and lever-action rifles alike.
